Based in Deep River, Ontario, Bug & Bean is a Canadian luxury bedding and decor line for children.
Founded by Erin Thomson—a military wife, preschool teacher, and mom to two little girls.
Erin bought a sewing machine and taught herself to sew after having her second daughter. Shortly after, she started handcrafting personalized keepsakes for friends and family. Combining her new hobby with her pre-existing love for all things handmade—Bug & Bean was born.

Erin Thomson
As well as working behind the scenes running the show - Erin enjoy sticking to her roots and sewing as well. Her favourite item to sew? Muslin Swaddles! Erin has been sewing since 2016 and created this brand based on her love for the skill.
Nicole Labre
Nicole is an avid seamstress and textile expert. She has been creating handmade clothing for entire families through her business Double O Creations located in Deep River, Ontario since 2019. A mother of two and full time teacher makes Nicole well versed in children's items and a perfect fit for our brand! Nicole joined our team early 2021 and specializes in our smooth minky blankets
Sarah Klein
Girl mom of two and owner of Small Town Seams- Sarah is no stranger to us! Her ability to maneuver delicate fabrics made her a perfect fit for our products! Sarah is a beautiful person inside and out and her seamstress skills leave us speechless. Sarah will be helping us with our muslin swaddles!

Ronald Searle
Ron has been working alongside us since we opened shop in 2019. He is a master of precision laser engraving and cutting. He helps us with all of our wood creations including our beautiful wooden name signs. We couldn't do what we do without him!
Erin Arruda
Erin joined our team in 2021 and she has been an integral part of our woodworking team. She is the owner of Max & Wilder Co. and is an amazingly talented woodworker. Laser cutting is just one of her many many talents and we are so thankful for her contribution to our team. She is an expert at our bow holders and is always up for a rush order!
